The Sacred Intelligence of Kambô

Kambô is a powerful experience with a potent guiding intelligence.

Approach ceremony as an offering, with respect, focus, and intention. Bring what’s on your heart, while staying open to an experience that may be different from what you expect.

PHYSICAL.

Kambô’s secretion contains bioactive peptides that produce a strong response in the body. Vomiting, swelling, and changes in heart rate and blood pressure can occur. There are serious risks, often left out of the conversation, and this work is not appropriate for everyone.

EMOTIONAL.

I’ve sat with people as they cried, processed grief, or shared something they’d held inside for years. These moments are remarkable. Many clients have described emotional breakthroughs, relief from pain they’d been carrying, or feeling more open to love. Some have found themselves able to forgive where forgiveness once felt impossible. What comes up for you, and what you take from it, is personal.

ENERGETIC.

In Indigenous Amazonian traditions, Kambô is also used to address panema, a condition sometimes described as bad luck or a loss of vitality. Some people describe feeling lighter, clearer, or less weighed down after ceremony. Preparation and integration should be part this work, giving you time to notice what has shifted and how that feels in your life.

SPIRITUAL.

Working with Kambô is sacred. Some people describe feeling closer to Source, more connected to others, or sparking something meaningful within. There’s a deeper empathy for all living things, animals, humanity and Earth. You bring your own beliefs and intentions to it all.
