What’s Kambo
Kambô is one of the most potent, holistic and effective natural 'medicines' on the planet. ‘Kambô’, ‘Campu’, ‘Sapo’, is the name given to the secretion from the Giant Monkey Tree Frog, Phyllomedusa Bicolor, that lives in the upper Amazon Rainforest. Known as Frog Medicine, it is also referred to as ‘vacina de floresta’ in Shamanic Circles and by a few remaining Indigenous groups in the Amazon such as the Matsés and Katukina.
Select tribe members will use Kambô to increase energy, groundedness, stamina, strength, vitality and sharp focus while hunting at night. Kambô is also used as a Universal Healer due to it’s multi-potentiality and effect on the mind, the physical body and the Spirit/energy of a person. A highly revered use of Kambô is to lift 'Panema' – an indigenous term for negative or stuck energy.
Outside of the Amazon, Kambô is revered as the ultimate cleanse, with potential for profound transformation, and an overall amplification of well being, especially when approached in a certain way.
The secretion will interact with the peptides found in the brain, the human biofield, the physical body, and the emotions and Spirit. Kambô is safe, barring contraindications and appropriate preparations, is legal and is not a hallucinogen. The experience is very short, but it is not to be taken lightly, is not for everyone and is always to be treated with respect and reverence.
Effects of Kambo
Kambô holds great potential to bring the whole being: mind, body, emotions, energy and spirit, back into alignment.
In our practice, we have witnessed those that are called to work with Kambô with the greatest intentions and put in the good work, often have synchronistic interactions and “coincidences” with Frog Spirit leading up to ceremony. Dreams, messages, symbolism, and more. Some even report pre-ceremony cleanse like symptoms as well.
After Kambô, many people will feel more clear, more grounded, more energized and experience an elevated state of well-being, an opening of the heart and a desire to live better, do better and be better. The vibration lifts. The mind becomes more still and clients open up to a deeper connection to themselves, their journey, and to others.
